Metro Service is looking for an Entry-Level Process Engineer for a Manufacturing company in Winchester, TN. The role of the Process Engineer is to implement process design that will support production to supply quality parts at the right cost. The Process Engineer position is a Direct-Hire position. Duties for this position include:



  • Ensure health, safety, quality, and environmental policies are complied with

  • Manage processes related to new or upgraded secondary equipment for design, implementation, and validation for assembly cells, poke yokes, packaging, auto cells, as well as others, with Safety Coordinator, PPE, Production, Engineering Techs (Molding & Paint), Maintenance, and any other department who would be a final user or can advise/add value to the project

  • Lead quoting process for secondary equipment by sharing with suppliers the process, product specifications regarding price, KPIs targets, payment, lead time, drawings, and other related activities

  • Packaging definition in Paint and Assembly, WIP and FG

  • Define Paint & Assembly processes and OI while emphasizing the importance of safety, quality, productivity, and profitability

  • Conduct customer capacity studies

  • Lead PFMEA process and related activities

  • Maintain accuracy for BOM and updates related to engineering tech information as other information is received

  • Support Engineering and Maintenance Manager on new Investment Plan

  • Maintain all required ISO/TS16949 requirements for the Engineering area

  • Maintain updated plant layout information

  • Complete daily paint engineering checklist

  • Lead paint process deviation activities


Compensation (USD):


$55,000 - $65,000/year depending on experience


Schedule:


Monday - Friday


7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:



  • High school diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

  • Technical or university degree is a plus

  • Knowledge in maintenance and injection molding tooling

  • 1-year of experience in Engineering area

  • Experience with PC controls, tooling, hydraulics, pneumatics, trouble shooting, MS Office, 5S and Lean Manufacturing

  • Management experience and knowledge of OSHA preferred
