Assembly Tech

Responsibilities:

• Properly maintain and calibrate equipment, tools, and molds to ensure uninterrupted production flow.


• Read and understand daily and weekly production schedules


• Clean and inspect mold surface prior to gel coat application.


• Apply mold release as required and directed


• Clean and protect mold trim edges by waxing or taping as required


• Ensure proper colored gel coats are applied to mold surface as detailed by production schedules


• Monitor that all materials are being used in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.


• Record material usage as required by using gauges and counters.


• Demold parts as required.


• Maintain good housekeeping within work area to insure safe and uninterrupted production flow.


• Follow all safety and environmental rules and regulations.


• Work independently or as a part of a team to complete daily, weekly, monthly, production schedules.


• Label, Tag, or serial number production parts as required.


• Other duties as assigned.


• Assist Team Leader and Production Manager in developing and implementing continual improvement measures.


• Assist Team Leader and Production Manager in developing and implementing cost reduction strategies.
